ʻŌhiʻa lehua (Metrosideros polymorpha) is the most dominant native tree in Hawaiʻi, making up about 80% of the native forests and growing across a wide range of environments.
They are resilient as they are one of the first plants to grow after a fresh lava flow, retain water and prevent erosion.
Today our ʻōhiʻa is under serious threat, especially from Rapid ʻŌhiʻa Death (ROD) along with invasive species, wildfire, and damage from feral animals.
Printed on matte finish paper. Ships in a protective sleeve with sturdy backing.
