Name: Haha Collection: Native Hawaiian Plant (11 out of 30)
Haha (Cyanea superba) is a super rare plant that’s endemic to Oʻahu that’s sadly now extinct in the wild. It used to grow tall with big leaves at the top and had hanging white or cream-colored flowers. Its population dropped fast over time because of habitat destruction, invasive species, wildfires, and animals like feral pigs. Now, the focus is on protecting what’s left in controlled settings and hopefully bringing it back someday.
Original art made with acrylic and fine liner pen painting on 4x6 300 gsm watercolor paper, sealed with satin varnish. Sleeved, matted (5x7 mat), signed, and dated on the back with certificate of authenticity.
