Name: 'Ahinahina Collection: Native Hawaiian Plant (8 out of 30)
‘Ahinahina is a rare and endangered silversword that grows in this beautiful tight rosette shape with soft and silvery leaves that almost glow in the sunlight. It’s only found living up in the high-altitude and harsh alpine areas of Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa and Haleakala. But like a lot of our native plants, it’s struggling due to grazing animals, invasive species, pollination issues, and its already small population.
