'Alalā once called the forests in southern Hawai'i Island, home. It includes places like Kaʻū, one of the areas most impacted by Hurricane Lala.
While Hurricane Lala did not make landfall, heavy rains and strong winds still caused a lot of damage, power outages and significant challenges for families across the islands.
Communities were already working to recover from the Kona Lows that impacted the islands earlier this year.
And now, Hurricane Lowell brought further devastation across the islands, particularly to Ni'ihau and Kaua'i.
Up until September 15th (with the possibility of extension), 100% of the proceeds of this purchase will be donated to Lāhui Foundation.
They are a non-profit organization who provide community support, disaster aid and financial relief. The Lāhui Foundation currently has ongoing disaster reliefs for those affected by Hurricane Lala and Lowell.
